With Common Core State Standards (CCSS), the State of California uses assessments that focus on CCSS and are administered through a computerized testing system developed by the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC). This new system is called the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) program.
